YouTube Surpasses Media Giants with $40.4 Billion in Ad Revenue in 2025

YouTube has achieved a new milestone in the world of digital media, outpacing some of the biggest global entertainment companies in advertising revenue. In 2025, the platform generated $40.4 billion in ad revenue, surpassing the combined total of four major companies—Disney, NBC, Paramount, and Warner Bros. Discovery—which together earned $37.8 billion, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The parent company, Alphabet, revealed that YouTube's total revenue reached $60 billion during the same year. A significant portion of this growth comes from paid subscriptions through services such as YouTube TV, YouTube Premium, YouTube Music, and NFL Sunday Ticket.

This financial performance highlights YouTube's strength not only as a video-sharing platform but also as a major player in the media and entertainment industry. By successfully combining ad revenue with paid content, the platform has secured its position among the world's leading media companies.

With subscription growth and expanded content offerings, YouTube appears poised for even greater financial success, cementing its status as a trailblazer in modern digital media.
